Welcome to the Online Cancer Education Forum
An e-learning environment for readers of the European Journal of Cancer Care.
This site is designed to provide continuing education for a wide range of cancer professionals practicing in different countries. The interactive format provides a more flexible approach to learning and is a response to the ever changing pressures on time and financial support available to professionals.
How the site works
In each issue, we will present a relevant cancer topic and an abstract for the topic will be included in the print version of the journal.
The abstract will provide you with an overview of the topic and you can follow a link that will take you to the body of the module. Here, you will be able to look at the topic in more depth. The module will provide you with:
- An introduction to the topic
- Learning objectives
- Background information
- Activities
- Resources required to complete the activities
Discuss the topics
Effective learning can be stimulated by exchanging ideas with other participants. We welcome your views and comments on the current topic via the online discussion board and you can submit comments for a three month period after the topic has been published. You may have examples from your area of practice that could be shared with others. Do you agree or disagree with the postings of other participants?
All discussions will be summarised and archived so that we can build a ‘library’ of professional debate for the wide range of health professionals within cancer care.
